Creo 10 include new composites tools and enhancements to design for electrification, MBD, ergonomics design, simulation-driven design, and advanced manufacturing.

New User commands for Updating Symbol Paths
Description: CAD administrators may update symbol libraries, resulting in a new path defined by the pro_symbol_dir configuration option. Symbols that are already placed in models and drawings may continue to reference an outdated directory structure, which prevents successful updates of symbol definitions. In this enhancement, three new user commands have been added to update symbol paths for existing symbol instances and enable future symbol updates.
- dump_symbol_defs_details—This user command outputs symbol definition details to a file in the run directory (symbol_defs_details.txt). The file includes model name, symbol ID, symbol name, and symbol path. This file is created only for user information, and it does not modify the part or drawing in a database.
- update_symbol_path—This user command updates symbol instances to use the corresponding relative path from the current symbol directory. Creo Parametric searches the symbol directory for matching symbol definitions and updates the first valid match. The command assumes that the symbol definitions are uniquely named in the symbol library. Do not use this command if duplicate symbol names exist in your symbol library.
- clean_symbol_paths_under_abs_path—This user command removes absolute path prefixes from symbol definitions that reference the specified path and converts them to relative paths. The command assumes that only the root symbol directory is changed (pro_symbol_dir). The internal folder structure remains unchanged. Input for the user command, the old symbol directory path. Example, D:\SymbolsOldDir\. The new path will be the relative path.
Benefits: This enhancement enables updating of existing symbol instances that reference outdated directories. Updated symbols can be refreshed in future when their definitions are modified in the current symbol library.

Description: Starting with Creo Parametric 10.0.11.0, Creo Intelligent Fastener introduces two new options:
- Adding a second nut.
- Adding a third washer.
These options support applications that require a combination of using three washers and HER (High Electrical Resistance) nut, particularly electrical connections. Using two nuts is a common method of preventing a nut from loosening. These options are disabled by default and must be enabled in the Creo Intelligent Fastener options. The Screw Fastener Definition Dialog Box

Benefits:
- You can now add a third washer on each side in Creo Intelligent Fastener screws. This is beneficial in electrical connections.
- You can now add a second nut in Creo Intelligent Fastener screws. This is beneficial for locking methods.
